RAFFLE PRIZES STILL NEEDED !!!

Raffle Prizes
At the start of each quarter, we hold a student raffle during our All-School Meeting. Raffle prizes are a fun way to get students motivated and energized. Students enjoy fun “toys” (i.e., super balls, Frisbees, kites, hacky sacks, etc) as well as coupons for lunch options close to Shabazz (Culvers, Subway, Pizza Extreme). Movie passes are the most coveted prizes.

PLEASE HELP US WITH OUR PROGRAMMING!

Portable Headphones Needed

Evidently Tina Murray is taking care of this. Thanks!

We need a class set of portable headphones that students can use to complete projects and assignments on the Writing Center computers. Although many of our students have portable music devices with headphones or earbuds, not all of our students are in that luxury position.

So, any older headphones (low end ones from Discman or boombox) that can be plugged into a computer would be greatly appreciated. We cannot use earbuds because they pose a hygiene issue.

Speakers Needed

Speakers found! Thank you to the Vitale family.

The English Department needs a set of small bookshelf-sized speakers for our department AV cart. We have a new data projector that will allow us to show films, on-line examples, and presentations. However, the current sound capability is inadequate for effective presentations without additional speakers.

If you are upgrading your system at home, please consider donating your old speakers to us. We want to be able to offer the best services possible to our students.

Thank you!
